What we are looking for
Maps with a story
Borders, cities, cultures and landscapes where the map reveals something surprising, and there is history or context behind it.
Clear and accurate
Readable at a glance, with a legend and labels, and built from data you can name and link to.
Yours to share
Your own work, or work you have permission to share. You keep your copyright, and we credit you.
What to include
Your map
- An image file (PNG or JPG, at least 1600 px wide) or a link
- A title
Context
- Two or three sentences on what it shows
- The data sources behind it
Credit
- The name or handle to credit
- A link to your site or profile, if you like
What happens next
We review it
We check the map, its sources and whether it fits one of our four sections.
We get in touch
If we want to feature it, we email you to confirm details and your credit line.
We publish with credit
Your map appears with your name and a link, and we tell you when it is live.
